This past week:

last day of school,

left Duiwelskloof and our South African family,

experienced the wild beauty of Kruger Park,
drove to Joburg,
dropped off Sarah at the airport,

stayed in Joburg a night at ShaMani,
flew home 7:20PM Friday night
and landed on American soil Saturday at 8AM – rebooting our body clocks 7hrs back.
We flew into snow.
Nate left yesterday from here (WV) for Maryland and onto TN Wednesday. Our paths have crossed on this journey for two months. Words can’t express the growth I’ve experienced just through traveling with him. Great, great friend and a great artist. Still so much work, growth and reflection ahead of us both.
It’s interesting being back. Only a day and a half has passed. Now begins the processing, the reflecting and the readjusting. Always a journey, onto the next phase.
And ahead… Art Exhibits in these three cities:
1. Charleston, WV
2. Nashville, TN
3. Hagerstown, MD
All proceeds benefitting Pfunanane Academy. More information to come.
You’ll see bits and pieces of the trip being posted as I process.
