Dance Shoot: Lauren Dittebrand

October 26th, 2009 3 comments

Lauren is a company member with the River City Youth Ballet in Charleston, WV. She is also a senior, and is an aspiring contemporary dancer. Really excited to see where her talent will take her.

Such a moody, Friday evening. These were taken at what is becoming one of my favorite places to shoot. It had rained all day, but the sky graciously cleared into a deep blue mess for hour 2-hr shoot.

Definitely difficult to pick favorites.

Best of luck to you, Lauren. : )

Pfunanane Exhibit @ Quills Coffee

October 14th, 2009 2 comments

My good friend, Bradley Speaks, contacted me to hang my work in the new Quills Coffee location in Louisville, KY. They recently relocated and had a grand opening in August. Feel honored to have my work from Pfunanane Academy in South Africa displaying until the end of this month. I wasn’t able to see it myself, so I vicariously lived through Andrew in these few photos he snapped on his iphone for me!

Michael & Lydia

No, these lovely friends of mine are not engaged. These photos were a parting gift as Lydia went back to school in New England, and Michael remains in school in West Virginia… and well, me — moving to Cleveland : )

Love these two, so very much.
