A friend and I got together one afternoon while she visited Cleveland and took a few portraits of me on my birthday. It’s nice to look back and see how you were at that age. It’s something I’ve enjoyed doing for a few years.
What a whirlwind of a two-hour shoot with Brooke! We began downtown on Capitol Street, to overlooking the Kanawha River on steep, alley stairs to a tucked away farm near Mink Shoals. Hopefully Brooke will see how natural she is in front of the camera – when she thought otherwise! “Oh, I have no idea [...]
Laura and I met downtown Charleston, West Virginia at Taylor Books early in the morning. Coffee and violin in hand, we spent a half an hour shooting. I got lost in Laura’s ability when she began to play in the alley, a highlight of any portrait session I’ve shot. I love her gentle spirit and [...]

These are a few of my personal favorites – : )
Congratulations to you both!

A little [...]

Wise, old soul – dear to my heart. We have shared years of stories and experiences together.
He and his wife, Pat, and been artistic mentors to me over the years…
I was able early one Wednesday morning to take a short hike with him at 5:30AM -
and witness his daily offering as a watercolorist.

Braelyn and I have been creating photographs together for the past two weeks. Some for specific projects and some, just for the pure joy of it. It all started when I photographed her one afternoon in the fog in a little yellow coat. She has such a gift becoming the essence of the characters we [...]
You may be surprised to find out how terribly cold it was this Saturday afternoon in West Virginia with Carly. She stuck it out, and we laughed and enjoyed creating these photographs together. The wind was on our side, and the countryside rolled on and on. Carly brought with her some fantastic pieces – from [...]
